About the designer

Larissa Akhmetova is a Wyoming-based designer, muralist, and illustrator born and raised in Galveston, Texas. With over a decade of experience as a professional artist, she crafts sleek graphics and creates stories featuring weird, lumpy, and sometimes fuzzy creatures navigating life's ups and downs. Larissa’s work is deeply influenced by her own experiences growing up and the impact that cartoons and comics had on her sense of identity and belonging. She’s passionate about using art to build community and mentor young artists, believing that representation in media can make people feel less alone. For Larissa, creating art is about connecting with others and sharing experiences that resonate on a personal level. She's also a great public speaker and workshop facilitator. She makes people laugh!
